CPRI invites online applications from eligible Indian Nationals for 110 posts across India, including Engineering Officer, Engineering Assistant, Scientific Assistant, Technician, Technical Attendant, Assistant Grade II and Multi-Tasking Staff. Applications open 19 September 2026 and close 12 October 2026 at 5:00 PM. Selection varies by post and includes GATE score, CBT, practical/skill/trade tests and trade/proficiency tests as prescribed.

Educational Qualification
Post No. 1 (Engineering Officer Gr.1 (Electrical)): First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering; valid GATE score of 2024/2025/2026 (GATE paper: Electrical Engineering).
Post No. 2 (Engineering Officer Gr.1 (Civil)): First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university in Civil Engineering; valid GATE score of 2024/2025/2026 (GATE paper: Civil Engineering).
Post No. 3 (Engineering Assistant (Electrical)): First Class 3-year Diploma in Engineering/Technology in Electrical with 5 years of experience in relevant field.
Post No. 4 (Engineering Assistant (Mechanical)): First Class 3-year Diploma in Engineering/Technology in Mechanical with 5 years of experience in relevant field.
Post No. 5 (Scientific Assistant): First Class B.Sc. in Chemistry from a recognized University with 5 years of experience in the relevant subject field.
Post No. 6 (Technician Gr.1 (Electrical)): ITI Trade Certificate in Electrical.
Post No. 7 (Technician Gr.1 (Mechanical)): ITI Trade Certificate in Mechanical.
Post No. 8 (Technical Attendant Gr.1): Matriculation or equivalent pass from a recognized Board. Desirable: two-year ITI Trade Certificate in Electrical/Mechanical.
Post No. 9 (Assistant Gr. II): First Class BA/BSc./B.Com/BBA/BBM/BCA degree from a recognized university and minimum Grade-B certificate in Basic Computer Course (BCC) conducted by NIELIT on the closing date.
Post No. 10 (Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) Gr.1 (Watch & Ward Duties)): Matriculation or equivalent pass from a recognized Board; all posts reserved for Ex-servicemen.
